Oftentimes, that is mistaken for coverage for when your car is in the shop on regular maintenance. They may need to keep it for two or three days while they figure out what’s going on.
Your rental car coverage on your auto insurance policy does not cover that. Where it does come in to action is if you are involved in an accident and you need to have a replacement car while they are repairing that vehicle. So keep that in mind whenever you need to use that coverage.
